Off-piste safety
Ski school Initial-Snow guides and ski instructors ski every day, whatever the weather conditions. All clients are given an ARVA avalanche rescue system on every trip. Our professionals are equipped with a radio, linking them to piste patrol and rescue services as well as to each other..
Each mountain guide or instructor ski carries a security backpack (including shovel, probe and rescue kit) and at least one further backpack is given to the group along with a radio (group-to-leader).
Initial Snow Mountain School runs off-piste outings in Paradiski (Les Arcs, La Plagne Peisey-Vallandry.

Cross-country ski run
Equipped with skins and special bindings, this is a pleasant way of seeing a mountain in the winter. Thanks to the skis, you will make quick progress up the mountain where beautiful virgin slopes await you. Great skiing and a real change of scene are guaranteed. Snowboarders may like to use rackets for the climb.

Folliet's North Face
After an hour’s climb, the great slopes of the North and West face await you. This is a free rider’s paradise. The East and South slopes are also a delight in the spring! Enjoy to your heart’s content.
Bellecôte's North Face
The North face is a gem of slope skiing with magical names such as the Couloir Vallencant and the Glacier de Pépin. The South and East faces are fantastic in the spring. Drop down to the hamlets at the far end of the Champagny Valley in the heart of the Vanoise national park. Spot the wild animals!
Aiguille Rouge
Easily accessible by cable car, whichever face you choose to go down you are guaranteed a thrill. This is an exceptional playground with the greatest altitude drop in the Alps without having to take a ski lift.
